Mine Planning and Engineering Design

Scope of work

• Review of geological information, existing mine plans, production requirements and infrastructure constraints; preparation of the engineering brief.
• Selection and justification of mining methods, mine access and development layouts, reserve extraction sequences and production schedules.
• Mine haulage, hoisting, loading and transfer facilities, and backfill systems matched to the mining method and production capacity.
• Mine ventilation and intake air heating, dewatering, power supply, automation and the interfaces between underground and surface facilities.
• Mine development plans, revisions and additions, including technical projects prepared for review by Russia's mineral resources authorities.
• Coordinated design of buildings, structures and utilities, followed by detailed design and equipment specifications for the agreed scope.
• Operating requirements, industrial safety justifications and design support during construction, where included in the assignment.
